Linda Shockley of Hapeville Unit 147 of the American Legion Auxiliary and a past Fourth District President had a knee replacement this morning. Everything went well in surgery. If she does okay she will go home on Saturday. She is in the hospital at:

Rosa Allen First Vice President of Unit 505, Augusta, has admitted her father to University Hospital room 991. He has pneumonia in both lungs and is on antibiotics via a pick line. Rosa Allen's contact number is 706-724-5911 at home.

It is with sadness that we report the passing of Department Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms Jerry Parker, the husband of our Past Department
President Bevery Parker. Jerry passed away the afternoon of Wednesday, November 5th.
Viewing and visitation will be on Friday, November 7, 2008 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at
McGuire, Jennings and Miller Funeral Home (Formerly Jennings Oaknoll Chapel), 2542 Shorter, Ave., Rome, GA (706) 291-0073)

Linda Ringhausen, a member of Unit 102 Jackson, has ask for our prayers to
endure the one year passing of her beloved husband Ted. She has not had an easy
time to carry on without her best friend and the other half of her heart,

Alice Montgomery passed away while out of town with her husband. This was a
sudden death with no apparent health problems. She belonged to Unit 233,
Loganville for over fifty years. Her husband Bill Montgomery also belongs to

Tammy Leadingham passed away, cause of death not known, she was only 44 years
old. She belonged to Unit 233 Loganville, no contact information was mentioned,

September 27th. Mardell fought a good fight and is now resting peacefully.
