      Become a Merit Badge Counselor – Share your knowledge, skills or hobby with a scout!

 

      If you have a BSA unit, look at the new awards coming – for Cub Scouts, Boys Scouts, Venture Scouts, and new unit awards for them!

 

      Are you a Legion Scouter – a new patch or pin is coming for you to show your dedication?

 

      If you’re Post does not have a charter or prefers not to charter, then find out how you can help scouting.

 

      Were you a scout?  Why not help scouts the same way someone helped you?  Scouting needs you.

Eagle Scout of the Year (make a link to the application) – Download the application if you meet the following eligibility requirements: 

 

THE NOMINEE MUST:

• Be a registered, active member of a Boy Scout Troop, Varsity Scout Team, or Venturing Crew chartered to an American Legion Post, Auxiliary Unit or Sons of The American Legion Squadron.

OR

• Be a registered, active member of a duly chartered Boy Scout Troop, Varsity Scout Team, or Venturing Crew, and the son or grandson of a Legionnaire or Auxiliary member.

AND

• Received the Eagle Scout Award.

• Be an active member of his religious institution and must have received the appropriate Boy Scout religious emblem.

• Have demonstrated practical citizenship in church, school, Scouting, and community.

• Have reached his 15th birthday and be enrolled in high school at the time of selection.

Note: Eagle Scouts still in high school who reached their 18th birthday during the nomination year remain eligible if otherwise qualified. Eaglescot 2010 Form.pdf

 

Square Knot Award (make a link to the application) – Are you a scouter who has been involved with scouting?  Are you a Legionnaire, SAL or Auxiliary member who is a scouter?  The Legion and the Boy Scouts of America have an award for you.  Download the list of requirements to determine eligibility and apply.
